Eric Chu is the CEO and co-founder of Tradesk Securities, an SEC-registered broker-dealer and fintech brokerage firm headquartered in New Jersey. With more than two decades of experience at the intersection of finance, technology, and capital markets, Eric has dedicated his career to redefining how everyday investors access and participate in the financial markets.
At Tradesk, Eric leads the firm’s strategic vision, regulatory infrastructure, and product innovation. His mission is clear: modernize the retail brokerage experience through technology-driven solutions that prioritize transparency, simplicity, and investor empowerment. Under his leadership, Tradesk has emerged as a mobile-first platform designed to eliminate traditional barriers and deliver a more intuitive investment experience.
Eric’s background spans investment management, equity research, and corporate finance, with a consistent focus on growth, accessibility, and financial innovation. Prior to founding Tradesk, he served as Chief Investment Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Taiji Data Center Technologies, a joint venture between Warburg Pincus and 21Vianet Group. He also held senior executive roles at 21Vianet, a Nasdaq-listed IT services firm, where he was President of the Data Center Infrastructure Group and Corporate Vice President of Capital Markets. Earlier in his career, he worked as a senior telecom research analyst at a major U.S. investment bank, covering sectors including data centers, telecom carriers, CDN providers, and cloud computing.
A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) charterholder, Eric also holds FINRA Series 24, 4, 7, and 79 licenses. He earned his MBA in Finance, Accounting, and Business Law from NYU’s Stern School of Business and holds a Master’s in Computational Mechanics in Civil Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
