Craig Ceccanti
EOS Implementer
There is a dangerous moment in entrepreneurship when success starts hiding the very problems that could eventually break the company.Craig Ceccanti knows that moment firsthand.
He co-founded Pinot’s Palette from a single Houston studio and helped scale it into a nationally recognized franchise with more than 150 locations. From the outside, it looked like the entrepreneurial dream. Inside, Craig was wearing eight different hats, working 60-hour weeks, and slowly becoming the bottleneck inside the company he had worked so hard to build.
That realization changed not just how Craig ran a business, but how he thought about leadership itself. Pinot’s Palette ultimately completed a successful exit, while Craig went on to build and advise other companies, launch technology ventures, teach entrepreneurship at Rice Business, and become a Professional EOS Implementer and Certified Exit Planning Advisor. Rice Business also recognized him with its Industry Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award.
Today, Craig has a fascinating perspective few advisors possess. He has been the founder with the vision, the operator responsible for execution, and the leader forced to confront the uncomfortable truth that sometimes the person standing in the way of the next stage of growth is the founder himself.
His story raises a powerful question for every entrepreneur:
What if working harder is no longer the answer?
