Matthew Le Merle has built his career around that question.
He is the Managing Partner and CEO of Fifth Era and Blockchain Coinvestors, where his team invests at the intersection of the Internet, artificial intelligence, agentic technologies, and blockchain. But Matthew’s perspective was shaped long before venture capital. He spent 21 years advising Fortune 500 CEOs, boards, and leadership teams through firms including McKinsey, A.T. Kearney, Monitor Group, and Booz. He later stepped inside the corporate world as a senior executive at Gap, working across strategy, corporate development, and global marketing.
